Online Jack and Jill Party!

Medical update! Just a tidbit for now. Drs. offices have been closed due to snow and I'm still snowed in here. Plus I have to change insurance. Had to go with an HMO plan which means I have to get referrals before I can see any specialists. No sure if I can keep the appointments I have this month because we are due for more snow. If not, those and everything else will have to wait until some time in March.

Now what I do know! And forgive me if I posted some of this before. Two kinds of anemia. Low platelets and iron deficiency. Also low blood sodium and magnesium at the low end of normal. But yesterday, I discovered that I am hyperthyroid. I was already on a thyroid med do to having my thyroid removed a few years back. The lower dose pills came. I took one this morning but IIRC, this stuff has a half life of about three days so it will take a few days before I feel better. This will at least partially explain why I was feeling so exhausted.

Will post more when I know more. Party on!

I just read all this. Love to you, Jada.

Thanks! I do have another update. Sorry if TMI. Pap Smear came back normal. So no HPV or cancer but health problems remain.

I see three specialists this coming week and another mid-April. Things should get sorted out soon. Yay!

TMI, here...not sure if that is possible

True. Another update but as I told today's Dr., I am a big ball of I don't know.

What I do know. I have a cyst on one ovary and too much build up of endometrial tissue. Probable cause, too much estrogen. I need a tissue sample taken to be sure that it's not cancer before I can have progesterone *if* that is the case but can't have the test done because...

I have a rapidly dropping platelet count, iron deficiency anemia and other stuff wrong with blood including that it isn't clotting. So... If I get the test done, I could bleed to death and he couldn't stop it. He is on my hematologist's case to do something about this.

Meanwhile, hematologist found a lump under my arm pit. She said it could be a muscle or tendon but wants an ultrasound done. Also need a mammogram. But...

This new insurance sucks. Spent hours trying to find a place to get these tests done. Either they take my insurance and can't do the tests or vice versa. So... I dumped this onto my insurance and said, "Do something!" Will take 3-4 business days to get back to me.

Meanwhile, the stomach issues seem some better but there could be some sort of bleeding there too. See that Dr. mid April.

So bottom line... I pretty much feel like crap and am exhausted most of the time. Sorry guys. I should get more answers soon.

Medical update: Nurse called. Said my labs were stable. No clue what that means as I have no clue what they tested me for. Ha!

And... New story for those so inclined.

Use of things like suddenly saw a post...really! Why yse suddenly.
Then writing like we were thinking is wet.

Finally I can give you all an update! This is what I am assumed to have. I say assumed because I have not had bone marrow testing or anything like that.

Please note that I have not yet had a rash. Weird.

I have other testing scheduled. Endometrial biopsy, mammogram and ultrasound, and an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Whew. Those should all be done by mid May. Then I should know more.

But for now, my platelets are stable and the iron pills seem to have squashed the anemia. I have much more energy!

Love you all! Will try to play tonight if I can! :rose:

Sorry to hear about the health issue. At least you have a diagnosis. I hope you were well enough to slow dance to Alan Parsons.

Have a good day.
