1. I’m New! How do I work this site?
Welcome to Literotica Chat. We have a great post full of information for New Chatters, and some Chatters who have been here for a while might be interested to learn new things as well.

2. What are the Chat Rules people keep talking about?
The Chat Rules are posted in several areas, including but not limited to the banners of most significant rooms, the New Member Info page provided above as well as in the link of the Lobby, and warning messages of the most serious rules on the Main Literotica Page and the Chat Sign-In page. Please make sure you are familiar with the rules and follow them. Not knowing something was a rule is not a valid excuse for breaking them. The link is provided here.

3. What are the Terms of Service?
The Terms of Service (TOS) are a list of Literotica site terms that every user must click that they agree to when first entering the site. All users must follow those terms. Some are repeated in Chat Rules, others are not as they are already covered in the TOS. These are rules you cannot argue with and can lead to a site wide ban. See the following link.

4. I’m having problems with someone, how do I report them?
Seek a Chat Mod out. Any Mod in any room with a grey star is available for private messages. Please seek out a Mod and message them with any questions or concerns, especially with problems with other chatters. Mods tend to remain in the Lobby and the Chat Mod Office while on duty, with their grey star on. They can also be in other rooms at various times. Feel free to reach out. It is what they are there for.
In most cases, a Chat Mod cannot act without valid evidence, mostly in the forum of screenshots. Please do not crop or alter any screenshot, the Moderators need to see the entire page, however, your personal information will never be shared. Here is a link for how to make screenshots.

To share that screenshot with the Chat Mods, please download your image to any image sharing site you feel comfortable with using (unsee, imgur, ibb, etc.) and then send the link to the Chat Mod you are able to reach out to. Or you can send them a Forum Private Message, via the Literotica Bulletin Boards/Forums.
5. Who are Chat Mods and how can I find them?
Chat Mods who are on duty can be found in the Literotica Lobby and/or the Chat Mods Office with a grey star next to their name in the list of room occupants. Please be advised that Chat Moderators are not the same as the Moderators for the Stories, Forums, or the site in general. Chat Moderators can only assist with issues that pertain to Chat specifically.
6. Who is Isedora and why does she have a gold star?
Isedora is the site bot who helps the rooms to function properly as well as offers a work portal for Chat Mods. She should be in every room, however, will not answer if you message her. Unfortunately, she can not help with Chat Mod duties or complaints.
7. Is a completed profile required?
No, a completed profile is not required. However, many people do not reach out to empty profiles for a wide variety of reasons. A profile may help you find people you connect with in your specific interests. The same is true for seeking play partners in rooms of the same topic as what you are looking for, rather than unrelated rooms.
Please remember that profiles must follow Literotica Rules as well.
8. How do I update my profile?

9. How do I delete my account?
Asking a Mod to ban you is not the recommended process. There is a wide range of issues in doing such, so a Mod is unlikely to accommodate such requests.
Deleting your account can take time and is not an instantaneous process. The process involves reaching out to the Site Admins via the story side of things. Following this process means your account will be irretrievable later so please be certain when you make this decision. Here is the link:

10. How do I change my user name?
Many people consider changing their user names after a while. There is a way to request a name change, however, we cannot guarantee that it will happen. The steps are much like deleting an account.

11. I am having repeated connection issues. Am I doing something wrong?
Literotica sometimes has updates or the occasional glitches like any other site. This thread was created to offer several suggestions and tips on the subject.

12. I am unable to sign into Chat. Am I banned?
If you are continuously unable to connect to chat, it is possible your account was banned. You can message the Chat Admin to check on this matter for you.
