With stories you can sort of tune the story with your imagination. You can imagine the characters as the kind of people who are attractive to you (even if they are described within the story) and the setting and even the events in a way that is more pleasing. Imagination fills the gaps.

With video there are a number of turn-offs, the attractiveness of the people in it, the production value, the setting, the music, the way the camera is set up... I don't know. It usually takes more clicks for me to find a video I find hot on redtube or similar sites than it does for me to find a story that turns me on literotica...
