after he vowed to spend $7.5 billion building 500,000 charging stations only SEVEN have been plugged in

  • Only seven electric vehicle charging stations built with Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds are currently operational
  • $5 billion was allocated to go toward the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program
  • The law says the charging stations must be held to a certain standard and created a multi-step process before construction could commence

So who got the money, has it even been dispersed yet? Seven complete but how many under construction? How many applications for connection have been made by participants? Are applications being held up by the local power company?

Questions ican't, so many questions....

Biden should have anticipated his regulatory albatross would fuck up any infrastructure initiatives to include the disaster in Baltimore.

You're not a serious person. In order to say he lied, you'd have to quote him saying that the infrastructure would be built out by a specific timeframe, which he did not.

Hmmm, you have Hunter on the bridge of the ship don’t you?

And infrastructure must be to blame when a ship loses power.

Next you will be talking about the Chinese fuel in the ship, or has that email not made it to your inbox yet? But can’t blame that on Biden either, so will let that one go too.

DING… fries are done. Back to work for you!

Non sequitur. Accidents happen, no one is disputing that.

Did President Biden promise $$$? Yes.
Was it provided? Yes.

Did some capitalist steal it? Probably.
Blame Biden! He should have anticipated that some Trump supporter would steal the tax-payer's money!

With Ican't, it's almost always either that, or criticizing the Democrats for failing at something they promised without mentioning that the Republicans blocked it.

Then don’t include it in your “plan” that was messed up. Calling out your garbage is something that is a daily or even hourly task.

DING.. fries are done. Back to work for you. You got the early shift on Easter? Wow.

My plan?? The only thing fried here is your brain! Government picking and choosing winners and losers is not good governance. Over regulation of one industry to enhance another is not capitalism, more like authoritarianism.

The only thing blocking Biden’s promise for charging stations is Biden’s team incapable of dealing with the reality of such an agenda. Markets control innovation not some delusional political *has been* who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else.

Removing industry regulations is what Trump did to contribute to the East Palestine railroad disaster and it really wouldn't surprise anyone if also contributed to Baltimore.

Brake Rule Would Not Have Applied

In a Feb. 16 Twitter thread, the chair of the federally independent National Transportation Safety Board, Jennifer Homendy, explained that the Obama rule the Trump administration rolled back would not have applied to that particular Norfolk Southern train.

“Some are saying the ECP (electronically controlled pneumatic) brake rule, if implemented, would’ve prevented this derailment. FALSE,” she wrote. “The ECP braking rule would’ve applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars.”

“This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes,” Homendy said.

Administration official, saying: “Would ECP brakes have reduced the severity of this accident? Yes.”

Perhaps, but in a Feb. 23 CNN interview, Homendy said that while ECP brakes on trains would likely improve safety, they would not have prevented this particular derailment. It was most likely caused by an overheated wheel bearing on one of the freight cars, according to a preliminary NTSB report issued the same day.

“The wheel bearing failed on car No. 23, so even with ECP brakes, the derailment would have occurred, the fire would have ensued, and the five vinyl chloride tank cars would still have to be vented and burned,” she said. (Days after the derailment, officials decided to intentionally release the highly flammable vinyl chloride and burn it because of the risk of an explosion.)

And when CNN’s Jake Tapper asked if any other rule change could have prevented the accident, Homendy said that is still being determined.

“It’s too early to tell,” she said. “In our analysis phase of the investigation, we’ll look at just that. We’ll look at what could have prevented this terrible tragedy. And it could be regulation changes. It could be recommendations to Norfolk Southern, to the Department of Transportation, or to rail car manufacturers, or to emergency responders.”

Homendy said at the end of its investigation, the NTSB, which does not have regulatory authority, will make safety recommendations that either Congress or the Biden administration would have to implement.

Wrong answer. Even under new regulations this train was not required to have ECP brakes. Now, would ECP brakes be an upgrade on all trains?. That’s a different question, but, yes it could have lessened the severity theoretically speaking.

Fact remains that Trump rolled back safety regulations in order to increase dividends for shareholders at the expense of safety.

And then he blamed President Biden for ordering the cuts in safety that he made.

So, the rail industry was picked to less regulation by who exactly? Maybe that’s why the Cheeto was in such a hurry to show up in East Palestine?

How about some basic regulation of all industry that takes into account safety? Doesn’t sound like that is the top of mind for you. Safety for the community… safety for the workers…safety for the consumers…

You having trouble finding charging stations? I know in my traveling up and down the east coast, I have seen so many places to charge…Almost every exit. But then again, you have to be looking for them and not so angry that progress is happening you throw a temper tantrum. All the other kids get recess and you get quiet time when you do things like that.

But now I think I get it, you don’t like the electric vehicles because you were hoping for the used deep fryer grease to become more popular? Is that why you are still dropping the fry baskets? Do you get paid in used grease? Or just one of the perks, all the burgers and grease you can carry?
