How much will the Dems 'free' programs cost? $63.8 trillion & counting

How much is the free housing for all?

Free food??

Universal Basic Income???

Those promises are no doubt just around the corner....

Lol..

In comparison, the cost of war with Iran would be a pittance. Gas would be $12/gallon though.

I'll attempt to put some of this in perspective.

The current US unfunded liabilities is rapidly approaching $125 trillion. And that is without ANY of the above mentioned programs in place.

US Debt Clock

Given that every time any economist, even the Heritage Foundation, tries to analyze the cost of a government program they seriously underestimate what the true cost turned out to be. Loading those programs on to the national debt will immediately push the unfunded liability number far in excess of $200 trillion. Our current GDP is just under $22 Trillion. So the unfunded debt is approx. 1000% of GDP.

Why do the democrats and more than a few republicans want to see unfettered immigration to the US? For that answer we have to look to Europe. After WWII the Europeans settled on setting up generous welfare states. Given the condition of Europe at the time one can almost agree with their decision. The reason for doing so was based on the assumption that there would always be more paying in than taking out. Easy to make that assumption considering the post war baby boom. But not unlike our Social Security, it was based on false assumptions and as such falls into the category of a "Ponzi Scheme." After the initial boom fertility rates in Europe plummeted so they had to find the new taxpayers somewhere. Wallah!!! Immigrants, they let in LOTS of immigrants. And at first that worked - somewhat. They were able to skim the cream of the crop and get the skilled and educated. But there weren't that many of them and soon enough they were pulling in the dregs. And they're right back in the same pickle they were in when the fertility rates took a dump. And so we have the democrats and more than a few republicans thinking that the European model is the answer. Right. We've already taken in a lot of the cream and so we too are left looking to the dregs for salvation.

Is anyone here delusional enough to believe that the unskilled, uneducated, and unhealthy are going to be paying in more than they take out?

In America, an unskilled, uneducated and unhealthy person managed to become President.
