There she was taking her nightly walks, her favorite burgundy cloak flowing in the wind followed by thigh long, copper hair as she walked. Walking to her nightly spot through the park and down many trails towards the water side. These trails were almost pitch black, yet she seemed to know them well and without falter moves down them. Her slender form seemed to float as she moved, long blood lust hair sends waves into the wind. Just by looking at her, one would think she was just another goth chick. Yet, those that know her, know she is just as simple as the next person. Didn't wear make-up like most goths do, nor had all the drastic clothing. Mostly just wore her black clothes and cloak.
Katalynn was into old traditions, pagan, even a bit of shaman beliefs. It gave her something more to believe in other than the typical religions. Katalynn was a bit of a loner, always has been since childhood. It was difficult to get along with most people she met. This most likely came from being the only child and raised by parents that kept to themselves also. As she got older she always thought of herself as a 'lone wolf' of sorts. Like tonight for instance, it is her 24th birthday and she is celebrating it out here, alone. She also knows she doesn't belong in this world, it never felt right to her. In the end, she was stuck living this life. Despite having a day job being a cashier, which she hated with a passion, she tends to stay out here all hours of the night. Katalynn does like the daytime, though rain and snow were her favorite days. And yet, at the same time, it was always to busy for her taste.
She could feel that something was different about this night. The winds seemed to be restless, more so than normal. Unable to place the feeling of something watching her, following her from within the shadows. Katalynn has had this feeling since she's left work, it followed her home. Then the feeling crept up again shortly after leaving for this walk. Her hazel eyes kept looking slowly around, trying to catch anything that was out of place. Trying not making it obvious that she was looking. Finding nothing right away Katalynn pressed on. Never really felt much fear, always feeling safer at night for some reason. Also kept a dagger within her sleeve just in case something ever was to happen. Fighting off this feeling, a smile crossed her lips when she approached the waters edge..
This night was one of her favorite nights, it was warm with the wind blowing through her copper hair, freeing all her thoughts. Moon was full with its rays looking down onto her, as if it was worshiping her beauty. Waves crashed against the rocks, blocking out almost all sounds from around her, waves caused a trance like sound. A beautiful sound that she relished every night. Cept this night, something disrupted the oceans music, footsteps from behind seemed to have followed her. Held her spot as if there was nothing there, pretending to not notice. Closing her eyes to hear where the foot steps were coming from and going to, they were only getting closer. Suddenly they stopped right behind her, from here she was able to hear the breathing. The air gave off a scent that told her it was a male, so far he posed no threat. Was just standing there, silently behind her.
Still, Katalynn held her ground, facing the water as if there was nothing there but her and the water, waiting for his move or words. She also had her dagger ready to strike if the need came. Katalynn stood at six foot in height and she knew how to use it to put up a good fight if it came to that. Only thing that would give her away was her racing heart, luckily it was only her that could hear it pounding in her ears. She tried to keep her breathing steady, although, it did increase slightly at the unknown.
