"Elly!" The middle-aged man called to his daughter as he opened the door to his home. Krastus Dufont was nothing less than excited. His prayers had been answered. The time of vengeance was at hand. In his arms he carried just the item he needed.
Without thinking he rushed to his daughter Ella's room and opened it without knocking. "I found it, child! Soon we shall know who killed your brother! Come to the basement, quickly." Without even waiting for her acknowledgement, the Breton ran down the stairs.
By all accounts, The Dufont family was not rich, but they had enough to afford a modest house in the city of Wayrest. His wife Elanna had died years ago leaving him with their two children, Ella and Peryn. All that changed when Peryn was found stabbed to death by an unknown assailant.
His skill as a spellcaster was more than enough to avenge his son's death, but without a target, he was as helpless as a babe. That was when he turned to the Daedra, more spefically, Hermaeus Mora. For three years he prayed to the Prince of Knowledge for answers he sought, and now tonight, he will find them.
As he reached the small basement, he placed the object he found on the altar to Mora - a large black book. Quickly putting his robes on he once again called to his daughter to hurry up and join him.
