Trump blasted by Dick Cheney as former vice president stars in his daughter's latest ad

No 'greater threat to our republic:' Dick Cheney attacks Donald Trump in ad for Liz Cheney

WASHINGTON – Cutting a campaign ad for daughter and embattled Republican lawmaker Liz Cheney,
former Vice President Dick Cheney blistered ex-President Donald Trump on Thursday as a direct threat
to the nation's future.

“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our Republic
than Donald Trump," the former vice president said in an extraordinary attack on a former president from the same party.

Cheney, an underdog in her reelection bid against Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman,
has described the ex-president in similar terms during her stint on the special congressional committee investigating the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021.

Liz Cheney's case: 'Domestic threat:' Liz Cheney says Republicans must abandon Donald Trump

During a series of hearings, Cheney and other committee members have accused Trump of
orchestrating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in an effort to illegally overturn his election loss to President Joe Biden.

ROTFLMAO. Cheney is on the brink of losing very badly in her August primary. Hageman is 22 points ahead of her, at the last count. If she can’t even win her primary, that’s not going to help her chances of winning higher office, which, weirdly, seems to be her ultimate goal. Even CNN ran a report showing how hated she is now in Wyoming. Cheney created her own mess, blowing off Republicans in her state, amnd she's finally comong face to face with the consequences of throwing down with the Democrats and the Jan. 6 Committee.

But even now, everything that she’s doingshows how clueless she is. Instead of reaching out to Republicans in Wyoming, she’s reached out to Democrats to cross the aisle and vote for her. She’s got Kevin Costner, a Democrat, pushing her, whilse she insults the real men of Wyoming. And now she's pulled out the Daddy Card. Another clueless move that just highlights her obsessive hatred for Trump.

Cheney's doing the work of the Democrats and telling the Republican voters of Wyoming who voted for Trump that this is her aim. Does she really think that’s going to work? Nah, she's history, and come 16 August she's going to have that rubbed in her face. The “Daddy, help me” gambit isn’t going to work, and all it does is show just how desperate she is.

Cheney's going to be a big political influence and symbol of patriotism and honor for a while now without the seat in Wyoming. And there's not a damn thing you can do about it, Chloe. :)

Someone in this thread is dumb enough to think that this is about Wyoming.
Yes.
If Cheney loses she still wins with most Americans, and she has more national recognition than most Republicans.Whether she runs or not in the Presidential race, she will go down in history as one of the few Republicans of her era with a backbone and morals.

Precisely.
So, Dick Cheney is your guy now? Seriously?
Trump is yours?

The GOP ostracizing actual Republicans in favor of authoritarian Trumpies will end up biting their collective asses.

When Dick Cheney becomes the voice of integrity in politics, you know things are reallllllly bad.

He joins the esteemed Republican Vice Presidents Against Trump’s Lies club, along with Dan Quayle and Mike Pence.

The Republican Vice Presidents Who Support Trump club has zero members.

Liz is hated by the base and the rethugs because she’s doing the right thing by putting country over party. Many Republicans are silently cheering her on.
Not in Wyoming. But hey....Fascists supports Fascists

Veep Cheney will be like Hannibal Buress was to Bill Cosby - a herald who starts a flood of accusations, testimonials and lawsuits.

First, no one here is expressing support for Dick Cheney.

Second, when Republicans start to recover from Trumpism and trying to pull themselves out of it (which already has started), Liz Cheney will only expand her influence whether or not she's holding office at the time. She's still an ultrarightist conservative, so I don't support many of her stances, but she is one of the few avenues for the Republican Party to make it back out of hell, and I do support a two-party system of government.

You should be a campaign advisor for Liz Cheney. Your ability to connect with her target voting blocks is very impressive! 😂
Do you think overusing emoticons makes you less dumb? You've never seen me even mention the Cheneys before this thread let alone "connect" with anyone.

There are less than 600,000 people in Wyoming, most of them partisan asshats like you.

There are roughly 340 MILLION people in the US, most of them good, honest, hard working citizens that hate partisan asshats like you.

I think you're wrong, Keith. Trump is remaking the Republicans into a populist semi-conservative workers party, and in the process winning support in the rust belt states, and from hispanics (my apologies, taco's, as democrats refer to them) and blacks, while the Democrats are remaking themselves into a left-wing socialist party aligned with globalists, coastal elitists and woke political activists.

November will go some way to showing how this realignment plays out, altho the economy will play a large part also.

As for Dick Cheney, a lot of Republicans can't stand that fascist asshole who was largely responsible for getting us into wars we should never have been in with thousands of american soldiers killed and injured. I have no idea what Cheney thought she was doing by running that ad. Annoying every Republican in Wyoming she hadn't already fucked off? She's history. The only gig she's got after this is going to be on CNN. SHe's going topay the price for Trump Derangement Syndrome, because once she's out, she's served her purpose for the Democrats. Nobody likes a traitor.
