I just got one. It's a form email from some bot that crawled through the lists looking for active email addresses and then added your stories in a list form.

Dickheads.

I intend to respond through my "spam" account.
 
I've never heard of them.

Maybe you need a pulpit in your story to get asked?

Maybe you need something more religionish than Oh gods, baby, come on come on...deeper harder, just like that.. oh GOD YES... to get asked to be a part of project EGO?

If so, i'll never get asked.

I got the same email about an hour ago..... it's bullshit. The name... EGO ... seems appropriate. The only thing that would cause a person to allow their stories to be posted by some "unknown" website is... an overly-inflated EGO..
 
I got this email as well. I figured it was a spam/bot type thing, since after all, my stories aren't good enough for publication! ;)


Leave it to the Russians ... they have more bots than I've ever seen!
 
Yup....fucked with me as well.....I HOPE they note that no, because if I have to e-mail them and ASK to get them to take my stories down.....

Not really. Only write in portuguese and got one of those just now. Have they read anything? Do they even understand portuguese? Don't feel you're missing out much.
 
If this is who we think it is, this person has caused us several problems in the past. A few months ago, we had to pay someone in Russia to track down a webmaster who was stealing stories from Literotica. Eventually, with the help of some friends, he went away. I'm afraid he might be back again. If this person is spamming all of the Literotica authors, we might have to get back in touch with our friends in Russia and the UK and see if we can have someone knock on his door.

I apologize to anyone who was hit by this spammer, and I assure you we will do everything we can to take care of this.

Please do not approve him/her using your stories, as it will only make our job tougher if we have to take legal action against him, his host, his sponsors, etc.

On a related note, this is why we continue to consider removing all email addresses from the site and requiring people to contact each other via forms, which we could protect from spammers. There have been mixed reviews of this idea from members, but as spammers get more high tech it may become a necessity. Any thoughts?

A special thanks to my pal Todd for bringing this to my attention and giving me something to do for the next few months. :)

I'm for it, Laurel. Most of my email from Lit has been through the form feedback that you've got now, anyway.
 
Don't know about removing the author's e-mails...

I think I can live with a little (more) spam. :(

Don't have any intention of replying them, one way or the other. I like it here. ;)
 
I'm for it, too, Laurel. About 99.99% of my feedback (and, ahem, i get so much) has been via the feedback forms provided.

This is a copy of the reply I sent to these yahoos using the kissmyass mail drop. I also deleted the portions of their links using my regular mail drop to prevent future spam. I sincerely hope.

I cc'd a copy to webmaster@literotica for file.
