Any pics you give out or allow somone to take opens the chance that they might post them and once that happens game over. There was another thread in the fetish forum or the gay forum, I can't remember which, where there was a similar question of the ethics of pic posting. I feel that if it isn't a pic of you, or you aren't a modeling agent, or an artist who already has a signed contract negating image likeness, then DON'T DO IT. If she wants to post on a fetish forum, then that's her business, but to have someone call her crazy and then post her taking a gear shift is all kinds of creepy and sleezy. And that's coming from a guy who's been completely covered in cum and diet Dr. Pepper in the past 6 hours- I know sleezy when I see it.

I'm not defending it, I would not do that to somone. But when you let somone take pic's of you (esp the nakkie kind) you REALLY are setting yourself up to be put on the interwebs, esp if it is not with somone you have full faith and confidence in not to do such a thing.

Her and millions of others who have been burned by pics that hurt them somehow by being put on the interwebz and as far as I know there is no legal recourse.

Maybe, but I also wouldn't push people I know to be batshit insane. And I know some crazy bitches. Posting those pics on the internet might be a good way to take some shrapnel to the head, or to get your ass handed to you in court. The one type of people that you DON'T want to fuck with are the ones that you already know are crazy.

What do you mean there's no legal recourse? Unless you sign away your image rights you have exclusive distribution rights- that's why you can reprint the family photos you get at Wal-Mart, but the photographer in order to post anywhere, including for free, has to have image rights. This is a huge deal in the art/modeling community. It's kinda the corner/crux of the industry.

There are differences between models and co-artists to where the legality is different. If you put a pic of your ex up on-line and she finds out about it, then you can be sued; you can owe money, and you can go to jail. They teach you that in photography 101- the only exception is crowd shots, and even then the legal waters are murky and the area's iffy.

Dude, it's seriously not, I JUST had this class. You can't just "consent" to something- you have to have, in writing, image rights. As an artist, you often sell those images for money- often you give the model the contact sheets and share image rights, or you pay her/him up-front.

If you go to court and your entire case is, "Well, she let me take the pictures," your lawyer will tell you to sit down and shut up while they think of a real defense.

You have to have a Model release form, or the pic belongs to the model.
