In this category, please nominate the poet who affected you the most in 2009. Whose poems did you seek out and enjoy? Who made laugh/cry/etc.?

Poet must be an active Literotica member (meaning their account is still currently on Literotica – it has not been removed or cancelled) who submitted stories during the year 2009 (and those submissions must still be on the site).

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

Hm. Well, since someone already beat me on my first choice, I certainly can't forget the influence of live4passion. I always appreciated this poet's way of pursuing paths that I'd been attracted to but was hesitant to actually travel on. This poet's works always gave me the feeling that they were fragments pulled out of something larger, which always reminds me to at least think of cultivating a similar field.

This is an extremely tough category. There are so many worthy poets. I guess it would kinda defeat the purpose of this thread if I nominated five or six poets. In reluctantly restricting my nominations to one, I nominate SweetOblivion.

I nominate LadynStFreknBed.

Her body of poetry should be required reading by those who want to be serious poets.

I nominate the poet who has improved the most from 2008 to 2009.

LadynStFreknBed

I nominate LadynStFreknBed as the most influential poet or is is poetress?

Shucks, I don't read my poetry, but when I do, when I'm in the mood for some rhymin', I read LadynStFreknBed.

I nominate LadynStFreknBed not only as my favorite poet but also as the most influential poet.

I've spent many a lonely nights reading and I've read all of LadynStFreknBed poems. She's my favorite writer and I nominate her as the most influential poet for 2009.

You apparently struck a soft spot (I suspect he has several soft spots) with Freddie on the Scouries thread, Lady FSB. You suddenly have an embarrassment (really!) of nominations from him. :D

I would like to nominate LadynStFreknBed for the most influential poet category. She's good--plain and simple--deserving of the title.

A different nomination

I admire all the poets previously nominated, but sandyb has given me a whole new perspective on the erotic poem and every poem of hers teems with a richness I can only dream of. I would like nominate her as Most Influential Poet, though she may not thank me for it.

I'd like to nominate greenmountaneer. I've found both his poety and remarks quite insightful.
I'll second greenmountaneer. He writes interesting, thoughtful, well-constructed poems about a wide range of subjects. And he posts them, which not all of us do anymore. For me, he is definitely the most interesting poet at Lit over the last year, especially given the criteria for nomination:

Well, he didn't make me cry, and I'm not sure he made me laugh. Made me think, though, which is better.

Honorary mention to PandoraGlitters, who is an excellent poet and hyperattractive personage (always something of interest to those of us who troll Litland for brilliant and comely females to annoy with off-topic conversation), who posted three poems during the year. PG is an excellent, excellent poet.

I know. I said that before.

Nevermind.

I also want to shout out UnderYourSpell, demon Poet Survivor, resident Brit, and all-around plucky chick. (Oooh. Meant that positively, Ms. A. :)).

Gal wrote a lot of poems and helped keep the forum alive. Plus, despite being vaguely purple, or possibly lavender, she has nice legs.

Whatever. Is that enough?

Poice.

UnderYourSpell is someone I'd like to nominate too. Not because she wrote a bunch of poems for Survivor, but because most of them were quality.
