I have only the barest kernel of an idea, but I saw a sign for a Lost and Found and immediately wondered if a naive young woman might go there in search of her lost cherry...

Our narrator (gender not specified) works a major urban mall's L/F desk. Various patrons approach seeking lost packages, tablets, purses, chihuahuas, jackets, etc. Some come seeking their lost minds, innocence, old companions. And the young girl wants her lost virginity. Where to look?

She may have lost her virginity, but I'll bet she still has the box it came in.

(sorry, old joke; couldn't resist)

Anyway, I see the Lost&Found attendant as a kindly old man, sort of a Santa Claus type, or better yet, a Wizard of Oz type, who returns actual items if they have been found, but who also uses his magical powers to help people who have more metaphysical types of losses.
