So miss rain came again,
knocking in the early hours,
hissed a greeting then,
settled in to mumble n mutter.
I nodded over coffee,
neither agreeing or gainsaying her,
conversation about the weather,
the prospects for the day,
and as she was content
to sit and knit with
gem lined spider webs,
I slipped into the middle world
where the sun was shining,
took a nap
