Petite usually refers to being short, not so much to being light or thin. In clothing, for example, you can find pants that are an 18 petite or a 20 petite, which are going to be for a woman who is somewhere around 200lbs and 5' 2".

Well, that's just not true. Petite means small in all aspects. A short size 20 woman is short and fat.
