Well, I suppose we do have to concede that compiling massive lists of people wholly unreleated to the issue and drafting puff-pieces about oneself while pretending to be several different people does take up a great deal of his energy. Really, it's amazing there's any left over for these continual sallies into mendacity.

I see it as an egotistical progression. An attention-deprived person (male? Female? Will we ever know?) who actually has some writing talent, enlists in an adult website, seeking praise and glory that their writing, alas, does not earn.

Frustration begets vanity, which in turn begets cries for attention. A truly sad cycle, I think. A paranoid schizophrenic who finds an outlet in the mendacity he/she created has instead created a monster which will turn back and consume him/her.

Eventually, we will all have a laugh about the memories of this poor, sad fellow. We may even cry.

But mostly, we'll just laugh. It's the nature of the beast, after all. ;)

Interesting.

I was thinking along the lines of a paranoid egomaniac with delusions of grandeur.

I read as many of his/her posts that I could stomach and reached the above conclusion.

I also read a story or two. Mediocre at best--trite and derivative at worst.

Hardly justifies the preening and strutting.

We've got a sad little sicko here folks.

I hesitate to mock him/her tho--

it's like throwing stones at the village idiot. ;)

I've been keeping up with this little drama; a procrastinatist's tool. It's mildly entertaining, less interesting. Sure this isn't like a self-parody? That's what I'd hope the readers understood. At least I would hope it is ultimately a self-parody, although first I'd have to care.

My ex still uses 'groovy'.. usually in combination with 'beans'... Never understood that one..

I like "Spiffy", it's one of my favourites :) And.. "Nifty"..

MY thoughts exactly. I looked at some of the posts in this thread just to get the lay of the land, and couldn't help thinking that Scouries sounds like a troll, ably abetted by some select sock puppets. So I thought Gorgeous George! But perhaps Andy Kaufmann is a better example.

I have more faith in human nature than to believe that he/she/it really believed all that stuff. In case I'm wrong though, I'm locking my doors tonight. If one can be like that for real there may be others out there.
