I've had people try to rewrite dialogue for me too. I usually resent it, and can get snippy in my responses to that kind of feedback.

I just had someone not only suggest it, but do it.

I wrote an incest story that struck him so hard-and pissed him off-that he wrote his own ending and-with my permission-posted it.

he enjoys my writing and we chat all the time, but this story upset him so much he had to do it his way.

Kudos for balls because he put an incest story up where at the end....the son refuses the incest and condemns it. So he got flamed, but doesn't care.

I have to say I was impressed the story hit him that hard.

Maybe more of these people should write themselves instead of telling us how.
