Jeremy Soule. The name's probably not familiar to you, but among other things he has written the music for the last three Elder Scrolls action role-playing games, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. My personal favorites are the theme to Morrowind, very short, lovely, and a bit sad, later modified into the themes for Oblivion and Skyrim. The last is probably the best-known version, but I think it has a little bit too much of a "music to invade Poland by" ambiance. The Morrowind theme, "Wings of Kynareth" from Oblivion, and "Far Horizons" from Skyrim are among his best pieces, in my opinion. You can find them all on YouTube, if you're curious.
