To temper the idealism of youth with the harsh realities of this world, that poster may well serve best. Especially in the face of youthful contempt for the wisdom of the ages.

Time and time again life will kick you in the face. You have two choices: You can lie there in the dirt feelin' sorry for yourself, and let it stomp you into the ground, or you can get up off your ass, dust yourself off, and kick life right back in the face and make life itself sorry it ever tried to fuck you.

Your life is your life. 'Tis but the outcome of the choices you make throughout it. Learn to think ahead. Of the consequences of your choices before you make 'em. You keep on this train, and you won't like where it takes you. When you hit the end of the line, the only one you'll have to blame is yourself.

Fear is a choice. As is anger. An irrational choice. Both will make you do things that not only would you not normally do, but make no fuckin' sense. You give into it, let it consume you, and before you know it, you'll find yourself halfway up shit creek and three-quarters of the way to completely fucked. Use your brain, think rationally, find a solution and solve the problem so you can get on with shit.

If in that rare case there is no solution, then toss it behind you, and don't worry about things that can't be fixed. Just as long as you're aware that not bein' able to find a solution and there not bein' one are two very different things.

Hope and prayer will solve nothing. If you want things to change, get off your ass and get it done. It's that fuckin' simple.
