Well, on one hand, sorry for the PM gone astray and landing in the thread. I think we all do that at least once. Yours was one of the better ones to land in a public thread. If I may riff on that for a moment.

Jamie's post was friendly, informative without being creepy, shows that she actually read the initial post and as she noted, did not include any random bits of genitalia to surprise and confound anyone! If I were looking and I got a PM like that from a guy on Lit, he'd at least get a thoughtful reply and a polite "thanks for the interest, but..." sort of reply. Unless he read my ad and responded to what I wrote, and we had some compatible kinks. In which case, we'd have a negotiation going on. Instead I usually get badly written pick up lines or random dick pics from clueless peeps who stumbled across my profile somewhere.

Agreed. Guys, start taking notes if you're serious about meeting someone. There are some really good personals out there (this being one), but the good ones are getting few and far between. Instead, what do we get? One or two-sentences written in creep-thought. Or a lengthy diatribe about your woes on finding someone while criticizing everyone, when all you're doing is showing everybody what a fucking arrogant loser you are.
