Maybe I have missed it, but I would love to see a way to "subscribe" to specific stories and authors so that I get an external email notification when people make updates. The new control panel is great at showing this information, but adding the ability to "opt in" for emails would be even better.
Something like when you favorite an author or story (your own as well), you get a check box or drop down to choose email updates. (Like the thread Subscription options)
The only external emails I have ever received are from direct messages.
