Dashboard Error when trying out the "Support Author Link" feature in the options

I can change and safe my user profile and options just fine. But when I try out the "Support Author Link" feature, choose Patreon, and type in the link to my profile, the site will no longer save. Instead, after I click on the "save" button, the site goes blank.

However, my browser console does show an error message:
