Baby watch

Congrats There Mister.

Blessed Be in all things for you and yours.

33 weeks, give or take

she will cost 3,125 times what I cost
to join the air breathers.

Looking at the other premies
she is in great shape
considering.

I hope she gets strong and healthy enough to get out of the hospital quickly. How is your daughter (or daughter in law?) doing?

And she's worth every penny...
Happy blessings, Bert and little nubbin :rose:

She's not telling.
Breathing.
Breathing is the order of the day.
Supper from a tiny tube.
Solitary confinement.
Out in two weeks with good behavior.

first of all, congratulations on your new grandchild, bert. :rose:

secondly, breathing is good and this baby has it down. that's a great start. the rest will come with time, and two weeks will fly by. she is surrounded by people who love her, and that's a great deal more than some babies have to start with.

Mine were 34 weeks and that size. And as some of the old timers will atest, it absolutely did NOT slow them down.

Not even for a moment.

Congrats!

She is going to do fine, I am sure!

I spent several months in NICU and it was incredible to see what fighters all the little babies were! So many miracles every day.:rose:

Hugs and a huge congrats!

A Bob Peale sighting! And how are Thing 1 and Thing 2 these days anyway?

Glad to hear she's doing well. It must be rough with her in there, but it's for her best. Best wishes to all.

Congrats!! Sounds like she's doing good. My best friend's first baby was born at 26 weeks & was 1 lb 5 oz & 12 in long. You'd never know it now, 12 yrs later. Girls always do better in the NICU. Before you know it, she'll be home & the spoiling can commence!! :)

How are all the little Things doing these days? I miss your stories about them.

Things will turn out fine. Mine was 34 weeks and now at six months you wouldn't even know the start had been a little rocky.
And as someone above me said, worth every penny of the added expense.

1 week old.
Down to 4.2 pounds.
She can take a bottle sometimes,
but the feeding tube is still necessary.
I think I saw a little,
and I mean little,
smile tonight.
She is learning about herself.
"What am I?"
I watch the younglings learning to be parents.
Terrified.
Afraid to break her.
Holding a life you made
in the palms of your hands,
can be a bit intimidating.
