Ladyver, the last two things she edited for me placed in contests including a first place finish.

She's tough, but fair and cares about the work she puts in.

Patientlee. If she hadn't suggested I re-work the ending of Filled With Joy, I doubt I would have placed in the contest. Her editorial suggestions made the difference for a challenging story.

AlwaysHungry, for insightful comments and suggestions on both stories and poems, not to mention for his patience with my bad habit of procrastinating.

I've been agonising over this. My current editor is wonderful. she works me hard, she's very knowledgable about writing, her moral compass is bang on so I know I can trust her judgement and any criticism she makes of my work, but many of you have already nominated NaokoSmith which frees me up to nominate my first editor.

Vmc312 was kind and patient and loyal and so supportive of me while I was taking the first tentative steps in creative writing. She was sensitive and persceptive, she understood what I was trying to say through my characters. If she ever criticised my work she did so gently enough that she avoided trampling my pathetic ego! I was so very fortunate to have had her in my life for the short time I did and the timing couldn't have been better, she was exactly what I needed.

Sadly in April she died and even though she lived on the other side of the world and we never met in person I still miss her and think about her everyday.

I'm lucky to have found two such brilliant people, who have had the patience (and knowledge) to put the time in to helping me improve my writing.
