From Nuremberg, Germany, to Budapest, Hungary, the Danube River crosses Europe’s Continental Divide. 16 locks over more than 100 miles to lift or lower vessels, depending if they are going North or South.
Beautiful lake, isn't it? I thought the scenery was breathtaking throughout the visit. I wish I could have explored more, alas, time didn't allow for it. Bratislava, Slovakia, and the Carpathian Mountains looked worth exploring as well. Thanks for sharing with us Ana!Wow! That makes me suck in my tummy!
Fabulous pictures. I also remember visiting Franz Kafka‘s house in Prague.
Photo is Lake Balaton in central Hungary
As a East coaster, born and raised, Arizona was my first exposure to the West. The landscapes and colors were astonishing, in total contrast to what I was familiar with. Beautifully different. Not more or less beautiful. Thanks for sharing the photo and I‘m thrilled you dropped in. Say hi to Bernard!I love you thread, N8! Thanks for sharing your beautiful travels. Here is a picture while at Tonto National Forest in AZ.
