That is very sweet of you. Bailey was such a gentle baby. She was a Labrador/German Shepherd mix, so you can imagine how intelligent and sweet she was, and beautiful!

She was a little over 16 years old. A very long life for both breeds.

I miss her.

I feel for you. I had to put down my kitties. Two from the natural progression of things - age... and one at the age of four. That was too sudden for me.

Even though you are aware that you may very well outlive them and know what may happen, nothing properly soothes your mind.

All I can do is wish you and your baby well and know pets do not see things and attach emotions in the same way humans do. Their thought process is more matter of fact than us humans who attribute many factors and details to many things.

I always got a kick out of Standard Poodles. Many do not know they were bred for hunting lions! eeeessshhh!
