ZoneAlarm problems.....

Hey, folks!

I installed ZoneAlarm recently....and all was well and good...until....

Just the other day, it started playing holy hell with MSN chat and IRC clients - neither one worked properly! I checked the configuration of the programs within ZoneAlarm, and all seemed okay....

Anyone else have this problem? It worked fine for three weeks....and now THIS!! Now I have to disable every time I want to chat.

I don't know if this will work but.....

open zone alarm and check the programes tab and make sure Allow Connect and Allow Server are checked.

Actually....I just downloaded Zone Alarm last night. By tonight, it had messed up my IRC clients.

I deleted it, and now I can use them.

You just have to make sure that you've got the green checkmark to allow local and server connections with IRC and messenger. I like ZA, my wannabe haxor buddies can't penetrate it with their stupid UDP bombs and nukes. Hell, they can't even find my computer.

I did, but my IRC client was messed up. It would just freeze. The problems stopped immediately when I deleted Zone Alarm.

I will say, though, that Zone Alarm was working great when it didn't mess up the IRC client.
