While taking some time off, Zangaard Knight Dorian DeRidian visits his sister Tarina in Zira Village, only to discover she’s with child. She refuses to say who the father is, and gives birth shortly after. It is a very violent event, leaving her very weak. She gazes into her son’s eyes long enough to call him Korda, and then dies. Dorian decides to take Korda back to Zangaard with him, seeing as how he has no other family left. As they set off from Zira Village, a man cloaked in black stands in the shadows, his red scaled lips curling into a smile.

Fifteen years later, Korda is the worst student the Academy has ever seen. However, due to his uncle’s status, he is permitted to stay. His bunkmate Bryan Desmond is the exact opposite, considered one of the brightest students to ever grace the Academy. Bryan tries to help Korda, but he seems destined to be expelled from the Order of the Green Goddess. With the Selection Examination looming near, Korda studies and trains harder than ever, but still ends up with a pitiful twenty-seven points.

However, to his great surprise, and resulting in taunts from Jerrick Grandal, Dorian accepts Korda as an apprentice, along with Bryan and Karin Lewis.

This is just a basic starting idea for a series of stories that take place in the medieval fantasy world of Zialaga. The reason I am asking here first is because the main cast is under eighteen. They are fifteen, however, this story would contain no sexual material and would go in the non-erotic section. The reason I make them fifteen is because it is highly unrealistic for one to be eighteen and just becoming an apprentice. I based the structure of the Zangaard Knights around the old European Knights of the Code of Chivalry. They became apprentices between fourteen and fifteen and became full Knights between eighteen and twenty-one.

So, what do you all think? Would such a series be accepted?

In the fantasy world of Zialaga, there exists two very large landmasses that occupy a portion of the northern world. These are referred to as West Kendorr and East Kendorr. Many kings and queens rule over different parts of this land, and in between them lies the Kacormic Ocean. In the dead center of the Kacormic Ocean, there lies a small island called Zangaard. Upon this island lies the largest church of Gaia, the Temple of the Eternal Mother. Zangaard is also the headquarters for the Knights of the Order of the Green Goddess. Zangaard is inaccessible by sea or air, due to powerful enchantments. The only way to reach the island is through a Waymirror, and the only mirrors able to bring a traveler to the island reside within the Western and Eastern Temples of Gaia, hidden in a secret chamber.

In Zangaard, all Knights learn mastery over the body, the mind, and the elements around them, as well as a variety of other abilities. To be officially Knighted, one must pass a series of exceeding difficult tests, which are judged by the Grand Parliament, a governing body of twenty-four Judges (senior Knights), and the Highlord of Zangaard.

Generally, a young student will start attending the Academy at age five, learn the basics of Knighthood for ten years, and then after turning fifteen, take the Selection Examination. The examination is held twice a year. Each student is graded by a team of instructors, and then is awarded points. The average score is 100, but many students get between 120 and 130. Anything over 150 is considered genius level. Generally, prospective masters look over these scores, and then choose three new apprentices from the results. It is highly unlikely for anyone who scores less than 100 to get picked, however, in this story, Korda scores a 27, but is still accepted as an apprentice to his uncle, Dorian, along with Bryan, who scored a 168, and Karin, who scored a 124.

I imagine that it would be acceptable provided it was totally non-erotic, but why would you want to post such a story on Literotica, where all the readership is also over 18?

I would have thought that a site which is specifically non-erotic (like Nicestories, for example) would be much more appropriate.

I have to agree with snoopy, such a series while being I am sure a most interesting read really shouldn't be on literotica unless say later on one of the apprentices starts having sex, after he turns 18 of course. ;)

Or you could always flesh out your idea and send it off to publishers to see if anyone would print your tale.

Yeah, I plan to self-pubish this series later on, but I figured I could post it chapter by chapter online to get it's popularity going. I just chose Lit because I know a lot of people here and I know there are nearly a million members of this site, though I imagine many of them are inactive. But still... And yes, at some point in the future it would contain sex, but not till after they're 18... Although, I could possibly tweak the story to make then 18 to start, I suppose... Instead of starting at five, maybe they start at eight years old, train at the Academy for ten years, then after they turn eighteen, they become Apprentices.. Yes, that could work. Then I could include erotica, hehehehe. Maybe they learn basic education (math, science, reading, language, and history) from their mothers or guardians up until age eight, an then they join the Academy. Hmm... Yes, I like that idea. I've got a whole lot planned for this series, including some unexpected plot twists, hehe.

Okay, I've made some changes to the synopsis, and am working on chapter one now. I'll post a link to it when I've been accepted.

Okay, slight change of plans. I decided to plan out several episodes before writing the first, so I will submit it tomorrow.

Well, sadly, I won't be posting my story here. I need to get the full manuscript completed so I can send it to Trafford Publishing :). It's a self-publishing company. Meaning, I have to pay them, but I retain all rights and get more profit from books sold.
