The exiled prince

Was thinking about a story of a Prince who was exiled when he was 18.
Exiled for something like masturbating on church or having sex with the priests daughter.
Something that he had to be exiled for to appease the church.

Now it's years later and he is living peacefully as a farmer in a small village just across the border, however the kingdom has had a terrible war, His brothers and father were killed in this war and his mother became queen regent.
However this kingdom is very much set on their royal bloodline since anyone with the royal blood has a dragon shaped mark on their body, so it was impossible to fake.

His brothers were killed before they had any children so he is the kingdom's last option, however it's impossible to lift his exile.
His mother however thinks up a plan, she sends out a royal degree for all unwed young women over the age of 18 to try and find him and to get him to bed them and impregnate them, this way a new heir to the throne could be born. The young women eagerly take on this quest since becoming the next King's mother would guarantee them a good life at Royal standards.

There is one issue, the exiled prince was told to never bear children when he was exiled. At that time they didn't want their royal blood to spread so they threatened to hunt him and any children he has down. For this reason, the prince has always stuck to Anal and Oral sex and has grown to love Anal sex very much...

The logical problem I see, is that he lives just across the border, and is probably interested in his old country.

Good point, I don't think moving the story further from the border would help since one of the first girls reaching him would probably tell him about it, so that wouldn't work. Maybe he simply doesn't want to give them what they want, knowing he wouldn't be able to see his child grow up. And only wants to give them an heir if his exile is lifted.

Well, yes. But the ones who exiled him in this case are his parents, who exiled him by pressure from the church. So they didn't really wanted to. I would think they just warned him in stead of castrating him because well, they love their son despite his stupid mistake that pissed off the church?

The alternative would have been death. Many princes were killed for precisely that reason. They were killed quite often by parents -- examples abound in history.

But in this case it would also kinda defeat the purpose of the story.
Maybe his parents told everyone he was castrated, but didn't actually go through with it, and thus warned him never to have children or he would expose himself.

Would also give a reason for the queen to execute her plan in secret since everyone else thinks the royal bloodline is extinct. This could give time pressure as others want to capitalize and become the new royal family. The queen plans to reveal the heir as a new ruler gifted by the gods.

The girls that are sent are handpicked by her and sworn to secrecy and promised a place at the royal palace regardless of who succeeds, meaning their lives would be much better if they just keep it a secret.

He lives a quiet undercover life. When the situation arises, that he is needed as an heir, he is hesitant, fearing that if he returns he might get killed after all. All that is known, due to rumors, is that he lives in a small neighboring country.
So all these girls are sent over the border to find the man with the dragon mark and return with his heir in their womb.
The women flood the small population of the neighbor, basically raping every man they can find. Because he is still scared, he evades them. He creates proxies, that is men, who have a fake dragon mark tattoed on their skin.
So many women return, believing or hoping that they are the new kings mother. However they have to wait for 9 month to find out if the baby carries the mark.

Oh I love this idea! Maybe a select few women that knew him before he fled actually do find him, but they are on his side (or most of them?).
I'm thinking, maybe the girl he loved, she married his brother, the middle of the three, but he never consumated the marriage. He just did it to keep her safe since he knew his younger brother loved her.
His childhood friend, who was secretly in love with him, she stayed with the court as a servant, never wed.

Could even throw a bit of incest in there (Since that wasn't strange in that time period), his niece the daughter of his eldest brother, just turned 18 and also is send out to find him.

All these girls are trusted by him (and his mother). So they show up one by one with important information about what is happening in his home country. Information he needs to unravel the conspiracy and return to his home country.

Maybe a girl that returns after getting pregnant by someone who looks like him gets killed. The person behind the conspiracy, heard her description and he feared it could've been the real him. But that also gave them some hints about who is behind the conspiracy. However he just impregnated the girl he loves who was first to arrive at his door, the second girl brings this new information. So now he also needs to safeguard her, since her life is in serious danger.
