Judge Donald Middlebrooks of course. The veteran Judge hit the former President's claims against Letitia James and Hilary Clinton out of the park. In addition Mr Trump has to pay penalties to the Ladies, and his lawyers have to kick the can for almost a million $ themselves. Just google the Judges name for the horribly messy details - I am laughing too much to summarize it.

Donald Trump has to pay Hillary! she must be laughing her socks off. 🤣

This must piss off Ican't, beyond belief..........notice the lack of RWCJ comments...

Odds that he ever will pay those penalties? We all know that ain't happening.

Maybe not,but the lawyers will. I wonder if they will try sending Trump a bill as well? One we all know he won't pay. It's good for Trump that is a ratio of lawyers is 1 to every 1000 US citizens eh?

Even given that, I wonder how he keeps finding lawyers who are willing to work for him in the first place, knowing he's probably going to stiff them? At this point, being able to say they worked for him will not help them at all with finding future work. So where's the value added?

Your guess is as good as anyone's.

Maybe they think of it as advertising. Sure Trump doesn't pay, but look at the coverage in the media for the firm?

2nd lawsuit withdrawn since this ruling :) no reasons given for the withdrawals but i'm guessing it's pretty obvious 🤭

Former president Donald Trump on Tuesday withdrew a second lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) related to her office’s fraud probe of his business practices.

Tuesday’s withdrawal of that appeal was the second time in five days that Trump had abandoned litigation against James, who is pursuing a $250 million lawsuit against Trump. It accuses the former president, three of his grown children and executives at his company of flagrantly manipulating property and other asset valuations to deceive lenders, insurance brokers and tax authorities into giving them better bank-loan and insurance-policy rates and to reduce their tax liabilities.

On Friday, Trump — who has announced a bid for the presidency in 2024 — withdrew a separate lawsuit filed in Florida that had sought to bar scrutiny by James of his revocable trust. A one-page filing in a federal district court provided no reason for that withdrawal, either.

Sometimes when Lawyers doubt their client's willingness or capacity to pay they require that an imprest account be created which is funded before they do any work which they can draw down on and must be replenished for them to continue; basically payment is guaranteed in advance. I know that happens in Non-USA jurisdictions and I suspect that Mr Trump is in a similar position.

The issue has gone much further than that. His lawyers are sinking into disbarment and even criminal prosecution. It's no longer an issue of just not getting control of or paid by a clearly guilty client who can't stop implicating himself in crime.

This is a good point. A lot of people do not seem to realize that a lawyer not only has a duty to his client but also has duties and obligations (of honesty and integrity) to the court. Judge Middlebrooks made that very clear in fining the lawyers. In recent years Judges have tended to give lawyers the benefit of doubt far too often. Good to see one saying 'Enough.'
