Put that in your cuppa! It's 7am where I am. I don't need this kind of anti-coffee negativity in my life right now. You both need to leave.

Ohh, I also don't drink coffee, and I'm a night shift worker.Uhhh that reminds me: I'm weird! I don't drink coffee.
As of right now it's 817 am, been up since 415.It's 7am where I am. I don't need this kind of anti-coffee negativity in my life right now. You both need to leave.
I did that. For a lot of years. Can be a rough scheduleOhh, I also don't drink coffee, and I'm a night shift worker.
22 years and counting so far.I did that. For a lot of years. Can be a rough schedule
I am currently one of those "no fun" people - I dont drink coffee (caffeine doesn't agree with me), eat dairy or gluten, drink alcohol, do drugs, or smoke.Uhhh that reminds me: I'm weird! I don't drink coffee.
I'm vegetarian, don't smoke, no alcohol, no coffee, no drugs.I am currently one of those "no fun" people - I dont drink coffee (caffeine doesn't agree with me), eat dairy or gluten, drink alcohol, do drugs, or smoke.
I cant give up meat - without bread, pasta, or cheese, smoked meat is the only vice I've got left!I'm vegetarian, don't smoke, no alcohol, no coffee, no drugs.
Meat and coffee I just don't like. Cigarette smoke makes me ill even when just in the room. Alcohol is temporary, since it doesn't play well with depression, and drugs just aren't interesting.
I've been vegetarian for almost as long as I can remember, so it really isn't a matter of giving it up in my case.I cant give up meat - without bread, pasta, or cheese, smoked meat is the only vice I've got left!
Good on you for realizing alcohol + depression is a bad combo. I let my use make me worse for a long time.
Mine was a 15 yr stint. And yes it definitely helps to be nocturnal, which I am but I do prefer sitting on my couch at night instead of moving boxes22 years and counting so far.
Helps to be naturally nocturnal
11pm to 7 am for me.Mine was a 15 yr stint. And yes it definitely helps to be nocturnal, which I am but I do prefer sitting on my couch at night instead of moving boxes. My shift ran from 5 pm to when we got done; could be 1 am, could be 8 am. We did have fun tho.
I definitely would have preferred a true 3rd shift over the split shift I did. Plus the job was extremely physically demanding so I kind of had to change when the opportunity came up; wasn't sure how much longer I would have been able to keep that up. The money was good though.11pm to 7 am for me.
Though, my current shift is more like 10pm to 1pm the next day on Thursday/Friday and Friday/Saturday, then 5AM until 3 PM on Sundays. And a few hours here and there as needed.
The money, benefits and familiarity are what keep me at my current job. About every six months my boss pushes for me to get a 10% raise, so I mean... Yeah, I guess I'll stay, lol.I definitely would have preferred a true 3rd shift over the split shift I did. Same reasons I stayed on nights all those years. Benefits are good, but when I went to days I took a massive pay cut, but worth it. And you are fortunate to have a boss who looks out for you! That's pretty rare in my experience! And 10% is fantastic. We definitely don't get that here. Corporate would never allow it.The money, benefits and familiarity are what keep me at my current job. Truer words have never been spoken. I love the articles that say a coffee a day is linked with lower heart disease. Makes me feel good about my addiction. Ha! Now if only I exercised more.I'm sorry for those who can't/don't drink coffee. Sometimes the promise of a fresh cup of coffee is quite literally the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning.
