You're never too young to get the writing bug.

A snippet of a story that my seven year old daughter has been writing (her spelling and all). :)

G's Dream

It was driving me crazy on a saturday because we went on some rides in the field. It was good but acchely there were skeletons comeing. They had little black hats on and were walking slowly with thier arms out, comeing out of the liberary. One of them got lammy but it was ok because I saved her. Mummy and dabby were safe because they were in anover room. The skeletons were a bit scarey but it was only a dream.

Bless her heart!!!! She had that dream last night, and I suggested it might be a good idea if she wrote it out. We've sussed out the "little black hats" were bowler hats, btw, and I think the skeletons got into her mind because her big sister has been making a very detailed scale model of a skeleton out of plastic pieces, for the past couple of days. "Lammy" is "Lamby", btw, her big soft toy, who is a lamb. :)

Kudos Lou to passing the torch and keeping the passion well enflamed.

She's got real potential that one does.

Aww. :)

"It was driving me crazy on a saturday..."

That's a great opening line for a novel.

Damnit, Tatelou, that's apallingly twee. ;)

Sweet stuff, and thanks for posting it. Brought a smile to my face.

Thank you. :D

Yes, I think she does! She's got a wonderful imagination (dreams aside). We've been writing a children's fairy/fantasy novel together for the past month - well, I'm writing it, but she's coming up with some brilliant ideas, and she's illustrating it. She's very creative, and has massive artistic flair (she doesn't get that from me, cos I'm crap at drawing!).

I love the innocent honesty of kids, and the way they see no boundries. The sky really is the limit for them.

Oops, sorry ma'am.

I've done the 'ousekeeping now, and I even wore my maid's costume as I did it.
