All I'm saying is, abusive and hurtful language and labels are used by all. It's terrible to witness. One side defends the use of this word, the other defends that word.... Why?

I guess I'm speaking in broad terms, not at you pointedly. I'm no stranger to the political turmoil that envelops the political spectrum. Both "sides" use words and phrases that are hurtful. Not trying to say you specifically have used any of those terms, maybe you have, maybe you haven't. I don't care either way. My comment was within the realm of the larger scope of politics in general. Both "sides" use hurtful language and justify their actions as defensible. Libtard, magatard, snowflake, deplorable.... Why be so hurtful? I've never ventured into the politics board for good reason.... I don't give two shits about politics. I have my views and yadda yadda. Why devolve into personal attacks? What goal is achieved? I don't care what political side anyone is on, choosing to devolve into anger, hate and condescension serves no purpose, proves no point, gains no ground. Isn't engaging conversation more enlightening? Debating even though agreement isn't met is a wonderful thing. Challenge each other, give each other something to take away to ponder on. That should be the goal of any political debate. More is gained from intellectual responses than raw emotions and that applies to all spectrums of the political shit show.
