You're beautiful...

A friend shared this link with me on FB and I thought I would post it here.

I know it's a self-confidence thing for most women...their noses are too big or too small, their breasts are too big or too small, their butts are too big or too small, they have brown eyes and wanted to have blue eyes, they want to be a redhead or blonde....

I saw this too...it's just wonderful!

Thank you for posting this...I viewed it elsewhere. :D It reminded me of a study I read yesterday how Botox users, because of their lack of expression somehow affects their inner happiness. The inability to stretch those facial muscles and truly smile has some relevance to mood. I think we, as women, and men, need to see we are beautiful in our individual ways.

Personally, I'd love to be part of an experiment such as this with the sketch artist. How do I see me, and how do others see me...

It would be interesting wouldn't it be?

So in love, sad as could be
'Cause a pretty face got the best of me.
Suddenly, you came into my life
And gave it meaning and pure delight.
Now, good looks, I've learned to do without.
'Cause now I know it's love that really counts.
'Cause I know that...
(Beauty's only skin deep, yeah, yeah, yeah.)
I know that...
Beauty's only skin deep, yes indeed.

Now you speak your words warm and sincere.
And let's me know that your love is near.
A pretty face you may not possess
But what I like about you is your tenderness.
A pretty face maybe some guys taste
But I'll take lovin' in it's place.

'Cause I know that...
(Beauty's only skin deep, yeah, yeah, yeah.)
And you know that...
Beauty's only skin deep, oh baby, oh yeah.
(Oh yeah, Oh yeah)
(Beauty's only skin deep, yeah, yeah, yeah.)
Ooo
(Beauty's only skin deep, oh yeah.)
Yes it is.

My friends ask, what do I see in you
But it goes deeper than the eye can view.
You have a pleasin' personality
And that's an ever lovin' rare quality.
Now show me a girl, a girl that's fine
And I'll choose the one with true lovin' every time.

I know that...
(Beauty's only skin deep, yeah, yeah, yeah)
And I believe that...
Beau- know that beauty's only skin deep.
So if you're lookin' for a lover. (Oh yeah)
Don't judge a book by it's cover. (Oh yeah)
She may be fine on the outside (Oh yeah)
But so untrue on the inside. (Oh yeah)

thank you, just thank you

That may have been one of the loveliest things anyone has ever posted.
The fact that a gentleman shared that raises you above all others to to me today.

Thank you.

I ditto this sentiment and just LOVE the video...makes you really introspect...We are so hard on ourselves...I know I am...

I already knew you had a special way of making a person feel beautiful, but this thread reinforces that feeling. Thanks Brad

So many women need to be told that so much more. That's good stuff, Brain.

This is a great illustration of how women see themselves and reminds me of the great poem Ode to a Louse by Robert Burns.

O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us
To see oursels as others see us!

Please watch this video, ladies, and know that you're beautiful.

Please keep this thread going by posting beauty that may be in just the beholder's eyes.
I saw this yesterday and also shared on my FB page... it is amazing and oh so true!

Great video, thank you for sharing

Thank you, you are so sweet for sharing this, BBB! It is difficult to love yourself sometimes, when parts of society tell you that "normal" is a size 0 with 44DDD breasts, platinum blonde hair, and a plastic looking Barbie doll face. I love that the people here invariably look beyond that! :rose:

Thank you for starting this thread. It's a tangible reminder to us. All around us we are bombarded by images of the "ideal" woman. Heck, even the porn we watch is filled with those types. It's hard for we average ladies to stay positive and confident. The Dove campaign is poignant and well run. Bravo BBB.:kiss:

And thank you :eek::eek:
