This to me is both beautiful and sad.
It's beautiful because some young person is willing to be maimed for life for something he/she believes in.
It's sad because this young person is maimed for life and the Army hands out medals for it.

Nobody. I read a quote by Cal Ripken, Jr. about his father, who was a coach for the Orioles for years and years. He said, "...his job was to take 40 years of experience and try and shove that into a 20 year old head. It's an impossible task...."
No doubt. Whatever they say is bad for you is probably true, but you gotta find out for yourself.
