I've made some good friends over the years but groups come and go. Some threads have left me crying with laughter and other times I've been touched by the kindness of strangers.

As for figuring out who is shagging who... well I live the other side of the pond and the chances of hooking up are remote - not that I really want to... with one exception. There was one *sigh* Don't spend too much time stressing over the dynamics: no one will take offence if you make a move or send a PM out of the blue. The only guidelines I'd offer is to stay open-minded, be courteous and don't take anything that's said too seriously. Guys, don't send dick pics and don't pretend to be women *yawn*

I’ve also made connections, non-sexual to a few people. And I consider them actual friends and not just people on Lit. I also have a couple crushes who I either text with or talk to on the phone or both, but we’ve never met because of distance. It’s possible to make real connections of all kinds around here.

Certainly none irl.
Friendly coworkers at best there.
 
I have a theory that Lit is like Seven degrees of Kevin Bacon - you can connect any Litster to any other in probably was less than seven.
 
If i were going to have a crush these days it'd be on Miles.

He appears to have his shit together and I've never seen him be an asshole to someone who didn't deserve it. :D

I suppose calling someone an asshole who has their shit together is a compliment of a kind...

(Just in case this comes over as a random insult, it wasn't meant as such. I've never seen him be the former, and as far as I can tell he does indeed have the latter.)

In the seven degrees thing, I have had numerous times in my life when it has become painfully obvious how small the world is sometimes.

Here on Lit, however, I was exchanging PM’s with another Litster and whatever we were chatting about brought to mind a particular individual. I broadly described this person’s situation without naming names and the other Litster said, “You mean XXXXXX?”

*GULP!*

Why yes, XXXXXX.

(No, the individual we were discussing is not on Lit - at least not that I know.)
