Your Ford Thread

Yeah, a couple of years ago i did look at buying one, but like everything here(Aus) the
Shipping costs killed the idea. I did find a fellow in Oz that professed to have easy/affordable access
To a couple of them.. Turns out he was getting my price+shipping+20% for him! Lol
Always wanted to build
1: flatheaded leadsled ratty lowrider.
2: chopped,dropped,flatheaded Nash Lafayette.

Allah yes, you guys pay through the nose for shit we take for granted, but you Oz car guys are fucking hard core. I admire that.

I like coupes, I like fenders, I like the whole car lowered a bit, I like keeping chops and channels to a minimum if at all.

And I prefer Mopars . . . but one has to give Henry his due.

^^^this all day long^^^^
I like most things genuinely home built. With some exceptions, quality or clever fabrication:
Check out the custom canterlever suspension on the chopped rod and the other Fab porn here:

Part of it is, I really like old school bumpers.

And the idea of having vintage iron which can be mashed in any bump which a bumper could easily prevent is just lunacy to me.

In some cases, I could be happy with a stocker:

That is a fine example of a timeless classic that would/does look geat stock.
But i couldnt help myself after a couple of months..(suicide doors, slammed low, wheels, tint so no
One can see whos driving it)..:)
Another Modern vintage twist favorite i would happily keep stock is the Morgan Aero8. classic vintage lines with a modern twist and tech.

When you find your $3K suits falling out of the back of a truck...,

;) ;)

You need a collar that advertises that fact.

That first one has a serious rear-end problem.

I just hate that look...

;)

The second one not so much!

We’ve done builds with Moser before that were direct replacements, such as our Mopar 8-3/4-inch rearend that replaced our factory original unit with no alterations necessary. This build is the polar opposite, and although our Moser M9 Fabricated rearend is going in a Mopar, the only thing that stays true to Mopar is the wheel bolt pattern.

When we decided to upgrade our suspension to a four-link setup with QA1 double-adjustable coilovers, we took it a step further than just welding on some brackets. Although it took a little bit of back-and-forth shipping to complete the build, this project highlights what Moser Engineering can do for your custom build – by putting together a custom rearend built to your specifications.
