There are only two kinds of gravy in England:runny and thick.The latter you put on chips (what do you lot call them over the pond?) and the former you put on anything else.😎

That has made me so bloody hungry writing that, you wouldn't believe it lol

And you have no idea what the base of the gravy is? I guess the safe bet is beef, since the only gravy I've ever seen on fries/chips is dark brown.

But yes, you are correct, 'tis usually a beef base
 
Im going to look up the definition of 'gravy'... pretty sure it needs some type of thickener. I could be wrong.

I'm not sure it matters to those who call spaghetti sauce gravy. There are a lot of them out there.

Does Italian dressing really expire? I mean its oil, vinegar and spices. It smells ok.
