Your first concert

Doobie Brothers, 1974 (I was 13) at the University of California at Santa Barbara. I'm still completely amazed my parents let me go.

Beggars Banquet II. Summer 1972. One of those huge all afternoon and night things

Headliners were Black Sabbath and Three Dog Night. Peter Frampton was on the bill as well. I can't remember any of the other bands.

Was the last concert I went to as well. Too many people, too close together for me.

And I was answering phones that weren't ringing for two weeks afterwards.

The Beach Boys in 1980, for my fourth birthday, a few months before my parents split.

Centenary College, Shreveport La. May of 1964.... Van Cliborn (spelling don't look right but it's the best i can remember)

1983 or 1984. Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, and Armored Saint.

Chicago, Mid-South Collosium, Sep/Oct of '76. Before Kath died.
Had to get away from home(i.e. parents) before I could go to any concerts.

Cool
Pretty nice venue,
large enough for the bigger acts but rather small and intimate overall,
Not a real big place.
I enjoyed it.

Weird Al, was older than most of the audience
followed by my second concert: Iron Maiden, where I was younger than most of the audience.

Someday I may be with people my age, but I doubt it. I hate modern music.

Luckily now I'm pretty soundly with people older when I go to concerts. Though it can be depressing. Jethro Tull at a casino. :(

Um, the opera Carmen at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City, Mo.

I know. I'm a mess.

But my second concert?

Van Halen at Kemper Arena, also in Kansas City (1984?)

I'm nothing if not eclectic.

Kemper was pretty good. I managed to see a wide variety of artists through the 1980's and early 1990's. From RUSH to the Eagles, from AC/DC and Black Sabbath to Styx and Jackson Browne and Bob Seger.

It's pretty much been abandoned in favor of our shiny new NBA arena, the fabulous FEDEX Forum....

Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Griffith Park Love-in, um.... Probably 1967 or therabouts... we kids all played with the bands' kids, while our parents grooved.

First concert that I actually chose to go to, was David Bowie And The Spiders from Mars, the Alladin Sane tour. What was that, 74?

Ah My tunnel vision strikes again.
I was only thinking of 'rock' type concerts.

Orchectra / Symphany / Piano Concerts
too many to remember or remember artists.
Most revolved around the Atlanta Symphany in the old hall before they rebuilt.
Only think I was there a few times after the big remodel in 70-71 or so,

Guess it goes to show about different meanings for the same words.
*embarrassed*
