Your First Broken Bone

Wow lets see...first broken bone was my collarbone. Broke it in a motor cycle wreck when I was in my mid 20s. After that, I was in my mid 30s when I broke my tail bone landing wrong at the end of a skydive. I even had to drive home 50 miles after that...OWWW! A couple of years later I broke both my tib and fib in my left leg right above the ankle..again on a bad landing after a skydive. That one got me a collection of screws and plates. Last one a couple of years ago was I broke a rib on my right side, coughing of all things. I went to the ER and the dr said "Well, that happens (breaking while coughing) mostly to little old ladies with brittle bones, but lets get an x-ray just to be on the safe side." Sure enough, it was broken.

I had broken toes and stuff as a kid but the first broken bone i Remember was in my hand when i was in 5th grade. I was in Gym and we were doing gymnastics. At that age i was pretty nimble even though i was starting to get heavy but midway through a cartwheel i decided i didn't want to do it... my ring finger on my right hand went straight into the gym floor and.. well... it wasn't pretty

the nail popped off and it never grew back right.. the finger or the nail

*HUGS YOU*

i hope you are recovering well

First and so far only broken bone was my 4th toe on my right foot two years ago. I kicked a chair leg and heard it go crack....Sir had to hold a trembling and sobbing sub for 10 minutes until she calmed down enough to get to the couch and lie down. Even after ice was applied my foot came out in all sorts of lovely colours about half way to the ankle and swelled up alarmingly.

I didn't bother going to a doctor, because he'd only tell me what I already knew. I taped it up and spent the next few days hobbling around feeling pissed off that I needed Sir to take care of me instead of the other way around  There's still a small lump between the second and third joints, and it aches sometimes when my feet get cold

P.S. The chair went over the balcony in the next neighbourhood clean up - boy did it feel good throwing it! :D Take that you bastard!!

My only broken bone so far was also one of my toes, which I broke running into the vacuum. I suppose this explains my loathing of vacuums. ;)
