With summer break starting I’ve had some nights to myself with the kiddos staying over at my parents and that means my own game and movie night.

Tonight I decided to watch Damsel…again. I’m a fan of Millie Bobby Brown and this movie started as a just gonna throw this on while I puzzle but I got hooked. She’s such a badass and I love fantasy.

So, I have it playing again tonight while I explore the depths in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The depths and I have a love/hate relationship something fierce

Wasn’t this everyone’s favorite ranger? I never got into any other Super Sentai. And wasn’t super into this one. But it was fun to watch stoned in college

Same! There were days I had a blast exploring. Others I could bang my head against the walls in frustration, literally. I’ve got to make some time to pick this game back up after a long hiatus.

When I was a kid, I associated with Billy the Blue Ranger.
Blue was my favorite color, and I was (still am) the nerd with glasses.

Of course, also being a pre-teen kid, I was attracted to Kimberly.

I never watched The Power Rangers. I am too old, I guess. However, there was a weekend cable show on the USA Network, Night Flight, which was a combination of music videos, B-movies, interviews, stand-up comedy, short films, animation, and...it was just chaotic wonderfulness, late at night. And one of the best things was a comedy redub of Kagaku Sentai Dynaman, the seventh Super Sentai series, the series which spawned The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, just with more dancing lizards, New Wave, and heavy metal as background music. It was supposed to be a straight translation with a toy line attached. USA went...a different direction, for six gloriously horrible episodes. Had USA done what they were supposed to do, Haim Saban would probably never have had his chance at it, and the Power Rangers may not have happened. So...you're welcome. 1987 was looking out for you.

I’ve only played it a few times, but I really like it!
The first time was a hilarious learning curve about the scoring system with everyone in my family scoring differently and arguing about how it was supposed to be done, making fun of my little brother endlessly, and then realizing at the end that he had actually been the only one doing it correctly. Whoops
