I've heard that before and believe what you say. The problem is that I'm not real familiar with the area and being 1800 miles away at present doesn't help matters.

Oh well, my investigation so far has narrowed the options down to two schools that have the mix of ethnicity I'm looking for as well as good academic success. Will have to look into some impromptu correspondence, though, to find out the answer to your question.
