I might be lactose intolerant, and my GI told me to avoid lactose for a week to see if I felt any better.


What I wouldn't do to be able to eat a slice of pizza right now...

There are plenty of treatments you know. You needn't give up pizza altogether. With the right pills, you could even have the four cheese blend once in a while.

I don't think my dad was lactose intolerant. I can't ask him. My mom isn't though. I know that there are pills, but my odctor said that they're not as effective as avoiding dairy altogether. This is just a week-long thing to see if it helps me at all.

Oh, and thanks for the pointer about the avs- I kind of get it now. I get the GI part, but not the intolerance part. Oh well. It's times like this that I think I should have been a blonde.

i need to visit new york, and soon, for some pizza. i just can't stand the stuff they serve around here anymore, it sucks. there's no place in this town (except for that chain sbarro's--'nuf sed) were you can get a slice. just a slice or two. you have to buy a whole pie, and then it's like "why bother?"
