This place is going to keep pushing the "let's be nasty to each other" envelope that is being pushed until we run off a hell of a lot of people......maybe this doesn't matter to some of you, but I have a lot of friends here, some of which are not real happy with the direction of the board. There's so much diversity on this board, not everyone is going to be nice and get along with each other. Thank goodness for diversity....a boring place without it.

Be content that it's contained. The flames come from but a handful of threads that are easily avoided. My concern was when it used to spill over into areas it didn't belong, someone would post in another thread and be followed by others spoiling to continue things wherever they happened to be. It got real tiresome, real fast.

An Idea

Wouldn't it be nice if we could check threads to not be displayed again? I would check the threads that are all:

Silly name calling
Sports
Invidious invective
Octagons
A..B..C themes

There are probably others too but it would be a lot faster to find the threads that are of interest.

No censorship, no complaints, the perfect solution???

You know, I'm starting to disagree with that more and more each day. I'm definitely feeling a very long, very nasty, very invective-filled vent coming on.
