I don't usually start a thread, for fear it will sink to the bottom. But you all have me curious. I have read many posts that mentioned members here having several names that they post under. And I noticed Todd just changed his. What I don't understand is....

WHY?? Is there a reason?

I have a name that my stories are under (HillbillyGirl), and this one.

I used the other name because at the time i was only posting a story as a lark, and since i use this name all over the net, i didn't want it on here.

when i actually decided to become involved in the boards, there was some kind of snafu, and it wouldn't let me use the name i'd already chosen, and here i am.

I've got another name that I use, which I'm not going to say.

I have no need to decieve anonymous Literotica members and I only use the other name to post stories, anyway.

But sometimes I like to show my stories to people I know offline, and I have to keep stuff seperate that I don't want to show them. In fact, I'm thinking of creating another story-writing name as my current name is "contaminated" with posts that contain personal feelings and stories that I'm not sure I want to share offline.

Yup I just did it to see how many posts I get in the run of the year, I originally at 2001 changed from my bobtoad777 to Todd now in 2002 todd to Todd-'o'-Vision

I can understand why Todd changed his name, and sort of see why some people post their stories under different names. But on the bb, wouldn't it just be too much upkeep to have more than one name??? Do many people REALLY do this?

When I first came to the board my handle was "GwenBloodstar" or something like that...... that was like in may of 2001. Honestly, with me, I changed names because the name was a name I was useing in a rpg I was playing with a few friends on aol... but that was then I promise I have not posted under any other names....
