Once I leave my house the tea offered around here is just lousy so it is coffee as my drug of choice. BiBunny said:Well, he's obviously in mostly decent shape if he's whining for coffee again.![]()

Shankara20 said:Thanks again everyone for your well wishes and support. I'm doing well today. The Dr. said all is going as it should. I am scheduled to return in two weeks. I have three different drops to use 4 times a day for the next month - no big deal.
The vision in the right eye is slowly starting to settle down. It could take up to 4 weeks before it is ready to fit for a new eyeglass script. The stunner is the total lack of painful glare, the amount of light around - it is like someone changed all the 40 watt bulbs with 100 watt, and the clearly of white - the cataracts are a yucky yellow and as they develop they filter all colors thought that yellow. Last night after I took the bandage off my eye I was stunned that my kitchen counter top is bright white. If I close my right eye the counters are off white, if I close my left eye they are bright white.
In two weeks, if all is ok, we will schedule the procedure for the left eye.
I expect it will still be a bit before I am back up to full wise-assed speed with reading and typing - but rest assured no posts are safe, when you least expect an ass-hat pounce, I'll jump![]()
It is fascinating how our brain sorta averages the stuff from the two eyes and makes the best image possible - and if one is not careful it will fill in the parts that are not clear with what it "thinks" is there and we think we see something that is really not there.graceanne said:I have this mental picture of you sitting there doing this funny one eye open thing. You know first the right eyes' open, then the left, then the right, then the left. LOL
I've done that, since I'm legally blind in my right eye, and kinda average in my left. (My right is 20/600ish and my left is 20/200ish.) It's weird to notice how much worse my eyesight is when I'm not using my left eye.

Cool you're okay . Not to discount the concern or discomfort . Only comparison I can draw was when I had a chemical burn to one eye a few years ago . I wanted to die the pain was so extreme.
