The Hindu community is calling on a Muslim Dairy Queen franchise owner to take down signs from his Houston-area business that compare Hindus to monkeys.

Mohammad Dar, a 65-year-old Muslim and U.S. citizen from Pakistan, claims he is not prejudiced for installing the signs — instead saying Hindus are the “racists,” mySA.com reported.

Dar told the website that he decided to post the displays at his business after “researching” Hinduism — the third-largest religion in the world — for 14 years. He said the signs at his Kemah, Texas, Dairy Queen seek to showcase the wrongs of certain religions, specifically Hinduism, acccording to the website.[…]

“Hindus don’t follow any limit or law, they follow desires like an animal – that is the foundation of Hinduism,” Dar told mySA.com. “Monkeys don’t plan anything, they just do what they desire, but humans follow the limit and law.”

“It’s nothing personal, it’s educational,” he reportedly added. “I’m really making people mad, but what I’m doing is communicating and inviting them to communicate […] they think I am attacking their religion, but I am not.”

In a statement to mySA.com, Dairy Queen’s corporate office called the installment of the signs an “unfortunate action” and said they are “not representative of our iconic family brand.”

Fuckking foreigners! Who let these people buy Dairy Queens?

Funny, the same people complaining about this would be delighted if it was a Christian dude that owned the shop. And the dude is from Pakistan, it's not exactly news that Hindus and Muslims aren't best buddies in that part of the world.

In the deep south, the rulez are very clear:
  • The white people work at Chic-fil-a
  • The black people work at McDonalds
  • The brown people work at Dairy Queen

A popular shopkeeper was stabbed to death by another Muslim in a "religiously prejudiced" attack hours after posting an Easter message on Facebook to "my beloved Christian nation".

Asad Shah, 40, a devout Muslim originally from the Pakistani city of Rabwah, had his head stamped on during a savage attack, according to one eyewitness.
Around four hours earlier the victim wrote online: "Good Friday and a very Happy Easter, especially to my beloved Christian nation.

"Let's follow the real footstep of beloved holy Jesus Christ and get the real success in both worlds."

A restaurant in Portland, Oregon is being targeted by protesters who say its British Empire theme is offensive to minorities.

Saffron Colonial focuses on English cuisine, but in addition to afternoon teas and English breakfasts the restaurant also incorporates “globally inspired dishes from the height of the British Empire,” such as a Burmese curry dish. Owner Sally Krantz says she’s interested in historical dishes and wants her restaurant to reflect the unique dishes and meal combinations created through the existence of the British Empire.

And that has some Portland residents outraged.

A March 19 open letter by Stephanie Dünx lays out the core criticisms of Saffron’s theme.

“While molasses cookies and sausage rolls may come to mind for you when you think of British colonialism, many of us associate it with forced religious conversion/cultural erasure, famine, and slavery,” the letter says. “You may argue that those days are long gone, but India has been independent for less than 70 years, which means there are still people alive today who have experienced the harms of British colonial rule.”

Dünx’s letter also faults owner Sally Krantz for opening the restaurant in North Williams, a longtime hub of Portland’s black population that has become whiter with the advent of gentrification.

“It’s a slap in the face to people who have experience the harms of racist economic development policies (a legacy of colonialism), wherein land and resources were taken from black and brown people in order to make some white folks rich,” the letter continues.

It concludes by offering a series of suggested changes for the restaurant, including:

-Eliminating all references to plantations, such as the “Tortolan Plantation Press.”

-Apologizing for the “pain” inflicted on “black/brown communities”

-Hosting a listening session on gentrification

-Requiring a chef who called protesters “crazy” to apologize and attend unconscious bias training, and firing him if he refuses

In addition to her letter, Dünx also organized a protest march to Saffron Colonial. During the protest, demonstrators plastered Saffron Colonial’s windows with homemade signs declaring “Closed due to glorifying colonialism” and similar phrases.

Besides marching to the restaurant, critics have also started to sabotage its Yelp page with negative reviews.

“If you would like your eggs served with a side of bigotry and complete ignorance, this is the place to go,” one review says. “This food is racism, British Colonial, WINSTON CHURCHILL inspired food. You mean the same Winston Churchill that caused the Indian famine under his rule? … Somehow, in some way, that history makes me hunger for eggs and brunch. Have some taste people. Boycott this place until it dies.”

Thus far, Krantz says she won’t give in to the complaints.

“Nobody is protesting Southern cuisine,” she told The Daily Beast. “Nobody is protesting Arab cuisine. I’m not sure where that stops.”

Similarly, Krantz didn’t have much patience for complaints about a Winston Churchill-themed menu item.

“Most people like Winston Churchill,” she said. “Quite a fun thing to have a Winston Churchill breakfast.”

During partition between India and Pakistan the number of people killed by Hindus and Muslims was 200,000 to 2 million i.e. they just don't know how many but a substantial number.

Is it any wonder that Muslims and Hindus don't get along?

So I see you skipped the meditation and went right back to race bait trolling with your signature c&p no attribution to source.

I worked with Indian born Hindus and Muslims in the same work place. They were college educated with post graduate degrees. They were cordial and worked together, and for all apparent purposes, got along well, but their inborn prejudices and bigotry for each other's ethnic group was unfathomable. Each was convinced the other's group was pathologically deranged, barbaric, and primitive. When given the chance, both could rattle off indictments of everything from to sacred cows to circumcision.

My experience in the US is that black people work at KFC.
Only black people. And they refuse to serve me.
Now I'm sure that someone will jump in and cry racism because black people, fried chicken, blah blah blah.
But this has genuinely happened every time I have been to a KFC in the states.
