I find it interesting that those who have chosen NOT to pick a choice are the only ones who have chosen to criticize me as a person.

They are critisizing your argument. Not you.

I choose not to choose because it's a rediculous choice. One has nothing to do with the other. There is no point in life where this choice ever has to be made.

You only asked to try and get people to choose animals or people. It's childish and stupid.

This is not a choice I will ever have to make in my life, so I don't see the ponit of asking it. It's like saying, "If you had the choice of buying 100 packs of bubble gum, or of sailing to China, which would you choose?". Just plain silly.

Cat, I don't think there is an easy answer to this. The medical community has been struggling with this issue for a long time. I agree with Lavy, in that if you threaten women with jail time for doing drugs, then no one will ever come in for medical care. It's very similar to giving syringes to drug addicts, it may not be morally right to some, but the alternative is the spread of Aids.

We would all like to protect the babies of the world, but unfortunately, that's not possible. The best we can hope for is that the baby is given the medical help he/she will need upon delivery and try to obtain help for the mother. We have more control over the baby once it's born.

Jailing pregnant women who do drugs is wrong in my opinion. Skinning minks for their fur is also wrong. That's my opinion.

Ok,but the whole animal is used,thus it's not as with sharks where the sharks are fished to the brink of extintion for their fins only.

I don't see the problem,people want fur they should be able to get it,just as they should be able to get whatever else.

Animal rights protestors have for years broken into mink farms in Sweden releasing the minks,doing incalculable damage to the eco system in the areas since the minks eat all the birds eggs and whatever else they can get their teeth on.Not to mention that the majority of these liberated animals promptly dies from starvation or exposure to the elements.

Right now it's the "Liberators" that do more damage to nature than any fur wearing woman on the planet.
We're on the foodchain as well as anyone else thus we can do whatever we wish,so if people want fur let them wear it.It's not as if they torture the animal to death.
Your average predator hurts its pray more than a mink farmer does.It's another business,sure they could get bigger cages and make the minks living a bit easier until death but that's it.
Otherwise we might as well forbid any keeping of any animal on the grounds that it isn't natural for them,domesticated or not.

My point simply was that if the mothers are behind bars the baby has more of a chance to lead a normal life and not suffer from the moms misuses. Instead of the mothers staying out in the "free world" being born and addictad. The mothers have a chance to right there wrong doings.

As for that i have my own opinion on things others may not agree with but that is MY right.
