Cat. I've seen worse.

My ex husband was on the fire department. Sadly, when they get a call for a fire at a mobile home, they know that they aren't going to make it to save the place, but they hope to save other mobile homes from the same fate. Forgive me, but mobile homes are tinder boxes, where fire is concerned.

I'm glad no one was home when it happened.

Have you ever seen what happens when a Mobile Home, (Tornado Magnet) catches on fire. Here are the remains of one in our park that cooked last week.

That's actually in pretty good shape, considering.

The only trailer fire I recall seeing first-hand was a 60's vintage 2BR single-wide. The only thing left by the time the fire department got it extinguished was the steel undercarriage.

I have seen a 70's vintage fire/rescue training film of how quickly the inside of pre-70's manufactured housing becomes unsurvivable; a truly terrifying film.

There is a reason why we called them tin ovens when I was on the department.

This one had the Fire Department show up within five minutes of the fire starting. (It was started by accident by a Plumber doing some pipe work with a torch.)
