Casual mention, I would say it flies, but if you're making this a big part of a story, then I don't think it gets through if it keeps coming up to push whatever is going on.

The first part about the main characters is only what you read there. and the other part between the girls at a bar is the only what you read there as well, there is other parts to it but it describes sex and cheating after 18. the 2 incidents occur in 2 different parts to the same loving wives story.
