I just got Yahoo messenger and was wondering if any of you good people could give me some tips.

What's it most like and is it worth me having it?

Thanks in advance :)

Well sweetie, if you actually intend to use it, then I guess it's pretty good! LOL Yes, that was a hint.

Andy do you? And what do you think babe? Is it worth me having at all?

If anyone wants my name let me know, I don't like giving it out publicly, it's just the way I am. Sorry.

LOL Nicole. I had it, but nobody ever wanted to talk to me, so I ditched it. I've got AIM, which I keep for family and a couple friends, MSN, which I like 'cause I can see if I've got mail, and talk to a few people, and ICQ, which I hate passionately!

I know what you mean.

I have AIM, love it and will never loose it.

ICQ which I absolutly loathe.

MSN got ditched.

So I thought I would try this and see how I go.

If you ever wanna chat let me know and I'll pass my new name onto you for AIM.

Take care now :)

Thank you. I might do that some time. I'm told I'm not bad to talk to! LOL I seem to keep a few people amused, anyway.

April you are one of the BEST people on this site to talk to. You not only listen but what is said to you stays with you, and that my friend is a very rare quality nowadays.

I said one of the best cause, well Havoc is the best to me :)

I miss our talks, you and me, but I have since changed my name cause of the ammount of times I have had to reload this damn computer of mine.

Yahoo, isnt really anything spectacular, and people rarely use it, so its hard to find someone you know that has it

Icq, well that basically sucks!

I Have Yahoo messenger, but I Only Use AIM and ICQ. The only time I use Yahoo is when I wanna make a long distance phone call cuz you can do it for free through it. :)

There all basically the same... AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ... mainly I stick to AIM - its the most flexible.

ICQ has problems working from behind firewalls so I've never used it. I've used Yahoo and MSN a couple times because of some friend who only had one or the other. Seems to me most people are drifting towards AIM - at least the ones I know.

Count me in with the group of AIM users. I really like it, though it does cut me off every once in a while.

I have MSN, but rarely use it. I just like the way it lets you know right when you get mail.

I have both Yahoo and ICQ installed on my computer, but don't care for them. Sometimes I have to use them, but they're not my favorites.

I have been using yahoo for years from the wee days and I think it's the best one out there.

Well one good thing came out of using it.

Yes u are :D

Chatting on yahoo is much better because u could go to the chat rooms there and people actually use the mic in the rooms and when u using im on it the mics sound better.

Dilly-WIlly

I met some hot ass guy and talked to him for like 6 hours the first time I used Yahoo.

Pretty Shameless, I'm drinking again lol

Wow lucky guy wonder what u talked about for so long ;)

Oh just shot the shit, you know, normal internet stuff. Made me kinda happy I checked out Yahoo. Too bad he's stuck in the woods with all the rabid deer.. ::snicker::

I hate yahoo, it's too easy for people I don't know to atart talking to me and I have no idea where they come from or anything. I prefer introductions first. I can't stand AIM or ICQ. My major problem is I can't get them to hang out in the system tray and stay running. I hate having programs running in the foreground when I'm not using them. I still want it to be open, but damn.

Anyway, my email and my IM service are MSN, so when I get a new email it pops right up that I've received a new message and who from. Eliminates the need for "you got mail." I know it before it's posted.
